The third in a series of works on speech and part of 'A State of Statement' project. Inspired by Speakers' corner at Hyde Park, the speech “Now we can begin” is a non-verbal speech that is taken out of the park context, into the exhibition space. On unannounced times the act takes place and the passersby are challenged to stop and attend. Delivering a speech without words, but with body language and movement, the physicality of communication is tested by the freedom of engagement of the public visiting the exhibition.
